OBIEE 11g – Important Log Files & Log File Locations List


This blog is an attempt to answer questions around important log files for OBIEE 11g, log file locations and location example. What are more fascinating for me are more and more questions around max size and rotation policy of log files which I will cover in subsequent blogs.

OBIEE 11g Log Files

OBIEE 11g log files, log location and location example are listed as below. I have copied this information from Oracle Support web.

STORAGE_DIRECTORY parameter in the Usage Tracking section of the
NQSConfig.INI file determines the location of usage tracking log files
BI Agent Log
Agent-JobID-InstanceID.xxx
The default location for log files is the Log directory in the Oracle Business
Intelligence installation directory on the computer where the Oracle BI Scheduler is
installed.
