OBIEE 11g 11.1.1.7.131017 Bundle Patch is Available for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and Exalytics (Doc ID 1595219.1)

The Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11g 11.1.1.7.131017 patch set has been released, and is available to download from My Oracle Support.

This patch set is available for all customers who are using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.7.0 and 11.1.1.7.1. It is also available for Exalytics customers who have applied the Exalytics PS3 patch.

Patch 17530796 - OBIEE BUNDLE PATCH 11.1.1.7.131017 (Patch) is comprised of the following patches, which are not available separately:

Important Notes

If you are upgrading from Oracle BI EE Bundle Patch 11.1.1.6.9, or from an earlier 11.1.1.6.x Bundle Patch and you have not applied any interim one-off patches, first upgrade to 11.1.1.7.0 and apply the Oracle BI EE Suite Bundle Patch 11.1.1.7.131017.

All Bug fixes that were previously in your installation are included.

If you are upgrading from Oracle BI EE Bundle Patch 11.1.1.6.10, and you have not applied any interim one-off patches, then you must apply the additional overlay patch 14278050 after installing the Oracle BI EE Suite Bundle Patch 11.1.1.7.131017.

If you are upgrading from Oracle BI EE Bundle Patch 11.1.1.6.11, and you have not applied any interim one-off patches, then you must apply additional overlay patches 14278050 and 14527683 after installing the Oracle BI EE Suite Bundle Patch 11.1.1.7.131017.

If you are upgrading from Oracle BI EE Bundle Patch 11.1.1.6.11, or from an earlier 11.1.1.6. x Bundle Patch, and you have applied additional interim one-off patches, then contact Oracle Support for assistance.

A number of Bug fixes included in Oracle BI EE Bundle Patch 11.1.1.6.12 are not included in Oracle BI EE Suite Bundle Patch 11.1.1.7.131017. If you have already installed Oracle BI EE Bundle Patch 11.1.1.6.12, Oracle recommends that you wait until the next Oracle BI EE Suite Bundle Patch is released in January 2014. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Oracle Support.

Oracle Exalytics customers must not install this Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Bundle Patch unless it is certified for the specific Oracle Exalytics Patch or Patchset Update that they are applying. For Oracle Fusion Applications customers, this Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Bundle Patch is applied as part of a Fusion Applications installation or upgrade. Oracle Fusion Applications customers must not apply this Suite Bundle Patch independently.

The Oracle BI EE Suite Bundle Patch 11.1.1.7.131017 includes Bug fixes that might conflict with currently installed patches. Therefore, before you install the Suite Bundle Patch, check whether any currently installed interim patches conflict with each component patch in the Oracle BI EE Suite Bundle Patch by reviewing section 3.2 - Interim Patch Conflict Detection and Resolution - of the Bundle Patch readme.

If you have horizontally scaled out the Oracle BI system on to multiple machines, then you must apply the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Bundle Patch 11.1.1.7.131017 and the Dynamic Monitoring Service patch to all machines in the cluster.

When the installation of the Suite Bundle Patch is complete, ask all end users to clear their browser cache.
